SLAUGHTERMEN
BURNSIDE TROUBLE ENDED, j (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) j DUNEDIN, Feb. 16. ' What threatened .to be serious trouble among the slaughtermen at Burnside to-day was fortunately ended at 4 p.m., and a satisfactory agreement was reached. • Objection was taken to the employment on the killing board of a man who was termed a "free labourer," and his dsimissal was demanded., and when the management positively refused to accede to the request some of the men adopted a "go-slow" policy, killing only two sheep an hour instead of the usual ten. The company began to put them off, and ultimately the union decided to waive its objection to the employment of this man, and a complete settlement' was reached. j
