A deputation of soldier poultry farmers waited on Mr. Massey in connection with, the Asiatic egg traded The deputation said they were menaced by the trade in Chinese egg pulp, and if they wait to the wall the Government would be left with the biggest farm settlement in New Zealand on their hands.'

The Premier said he had no sympathy with the importation of egg pulp, and would see if it w* possible to prohibit the pulp without legislation, but he doubted it. He kn«to the temper of Parliament in the matter, and as soon as prohibition could be imposed it would be.
