ARMY VOTES.
LONDON, Dec. 16. Mr Asquith's motion for the reduction of the supplementary army vote was defeated by, 186 votes to 82. The debate centred on the British policy in Mesopotamia and Persia. Mr LJoyd George said the reduction of forces m the East was going *on steadily. We were now bent on setting UP an Arab State, and a complete withdrawal from Turkey in the spring The guardianship of the Dardanelles would be in the hands of Britain France and Italy.
