England in the first innings scored iOl (Hendron 211, Hearne 144, Woolley, retired, 64. Douglas, retired, 48).. The Colts, in their second innings, made 148 (Love, not out 38). Hitch took 3 wickets for 25 runs. Hendren'g innings was the finest exhibition of hitting seen in first-class cricket in Australia in recent years, while Hearne, for the' greater oart of his innings, was content to go easily.
