-.' <Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.) LONDON, Dec. 14. A military enquiry into the Cork ires has begun. The Bight Hon. Dennis Henry, Afc-iorney-General for Ireland, in the louse of Commons said that the mxiliary police had been removed from 3ork City. There was no further evilence as to who was responsible for ;he fires.
General Tudor has circularised the Irish -police, stating that it is absolutely necessary to stop burnings, unless they are compelled to destroy buildings used by attackers. A small party of Sinn Feiners made a daring seizure of the military mail outside the Dublin Post Office in daylight, after an exchange of rifle and revolver fire with the four soldiers in charge of the mail car. None were injured, but th.c people in the street were terrified and flung themselves on ihe_ ground. The escort saved the registered packets. The House of Lords read the Home Bule Bill a third time. The Lord Chancellor promised the Government's ■deepest consideration to the amendsments.
