The-anniversary services of the Normanby'Methodist Sunday School conducted on Sunday by the Rev. J. A. Hoskmg, were of a happy character, la the aif ernoon the Anglican and Presbyterian schools were closed to enable the scholars to participate in the Methodist service, a. fraternal act greatly appreciated. Thirty-five prizes for attendance and good conduct were distributed, the highest marks beife obtained by Pearl Gane. The songs and Tecitations by the children were highly appreciated by latge congregations and the collections slightly exceeded last .year's am*unt. In training the-scholars Miss Pearl dement and Mr. Rowe had the assistance of Mr. Franklin. The Christmas season is approaching, ■and most people will now be wondering what to buy their men folk for a Xmas gift.
