WEDDING

WASLEY—MURROW

A pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Stephen's Church, Marton, on November. 24, when Miss Agnes Murrow, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs D. S. Murrow, Marton. Junction, was married, to Mr F. G. Wasley, youngest son ;of Mr William Wasley, Hawera. The 1 Rev. V. H. Kitcat officiated. The I bride, who was given away by her S father, was attired in ivory crepe d« «clime, hand worked and finished with horseshoes of pearls. She also wore the customary veil and orange blossoms, and carried a beautiful bouquet of real orange blossoms, the gift of Mrs T. Barton. She was attended by two bridesmaids. Miss May Wasley, sister of the bridegroom, chief bridesmaid, was attired in a pale pink sponge cloth and leghorn hat, and Miss K. Riordan in pale blue voile with lace leghorn hat. Each carried a bouquet of real orange blossoms, the gift of Mrse T. Barton, who supplied baskets of pale pink carnations carried by two little flower girls—Miss E. Murrow, "sister of the bride, and • Miss M. Anderson—dressed in white silk trimmed with pale blue and pink ribbons, with lace leghorn hats to match. Mr S. W. Kelsen was best man, and Mr S. Gough groomsman. The bridegroom 'presented the bride with a gold wristlet watch, and received a gold watchguard. The bridesmaids were recipients of gold pendants and chains set with turquoise and pearls, and the flower girls gold bangles. A large number of guests partook of the wedding breakfast at the Junction' Hotel, where the customary toasts were duly honoured: The happy couple,, who were recipients of numerous presents, with \ many congratulatory messages, left I later for Wellington amidst the whistling of. engines and detonator explosions, as only railwaymen are capable jof according a popular couple. The i bride's travelling dress was a blue serge costume, with a white hat i trimmed with white georgette. Their I future home will be Hawera.
