GERMANS ASKED TO LABOR HOUR EXTRA DAILY.
BERLIN, May 15. Germans are asked for an. "extra hour of labor daily to- save the fatherland" by Dr Berthard Dernburg, in an article in the Tageblatt. Based on statistics which indicate an average .working day of nine and one half hours, Dr Dernburg calculates an eight-hour day will result in a loss of production of 27,000,000 marks annually, whicfi, if saved, he says, would procure food, clothes and raw materials in plenty and also insur c a better rate of exchange.
