PRINCE OF WALES
ARRIVAL, IN SYDNEY
BX'CABr-B—rSESB .ASSOCIATION— COPYEIGHT (Received .June J6, 11.5 a.m.)
SYDNEY, June 16. Prior to the Renown^s arrival, harbor traffic was stopped, and a way cleared for the run up to moorings in Neutra^ Bay. The great battleship showed up well in the clear morning light as she drew in towards the heads and. swung through. For *miles the outside cliffs were black with watchers, and the shores and hills inside . the harbor were alive wifh humanity. The Renown made a stately progress through Jines of moored warships booming out the Royal salute as she passed, while whistles of inrflimerable steamers to the d'.n of welcome as1 she slowly slid to an anchorage. Outside the warship's line of progress there were many larger vessels, and hundreds of small craft packed with sightsee"rs, all gaily decorated, combined in ' producing a splendid pageant, wh:ch was marked by intense enthusiasm.
