WOOL PRICES.

(Received June 16, 11.50 a.m.) LONDON, June 15. Lord Forster and Lord Derby, in negotiations on behalf of Britain in wool transactions, offered 45 per cent above pre-war profits. Messrs A. Fisher.and W. F. Massey insisted on .55 per cent. Eventually Lord Derby irately exclaimed: "If we cannot have wool at our price we can withhold ships and prevent you , marketing." This caused an impasse, and finally Lord Forster said: "Let us give 55 per cent." Lord Derby said: "Then we are able to have our dinner, and perhaps earn a reputation as patriots for strengthening the bonds of Empire."
