Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.) LONDON, June, 14. _Kingscote, in a letter to the Lawn xennis Association, admit* that Lycett has undeniable birth qualifications to play for the British Isles, but it is not tne Spirit of the law that he should ijbe included in the Davis Cup team. He is a magnificent doubles player, and would undoubtedly strengthen Britain, but it was better to lose without Lycett's assistance • than to win with it.
"While his qualifications are not unanimously accepted, particularly by Australasia, I suggest the Australasian Lawn Tennis Association be approached by letter, not cable,, with a view of dedetermining in a friendly spirit which country Lycett should play ' for. If Australasia agrees to the British Isles' prior claims then Lycett's claims for inclusion should be considered in 1921, but not in 1920."
