IMPORTANT CHANGES PROPOSED

The Parliamentary Army Committee is memorialising the Premier and Mr Bonar Law suggesting important changes in the Empire's defence organisation. The scheme involves the representation of the three services on a body charged with the responsibility «f the co-ordination of expenditure and with the commitment of the foreign policy adopted by the Government. < In the House of Commons, replying to Lieut.^Colonel Seely, Mr Lloyd George stated that the Committee of Imperial Defence was constituted so as to deal with the co-ordination of the sea, land and air defences of tne Em- . pire by, experts from the three services, ' attending meeting of the committee as required. He hoped meetings would be held shortly. • \ j
