POLISH ADVANCE. BOLSHEVIK COUNTERATTACK: . FAILS. BRITISH LABOR PROTEST. EY CABIiJS—PBESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT LONDON, May 18. The Polish legion reports that five Bolshevik divisions launched a counterattack between the Dnieper and the Dvina, but it apparently failed. A Moscow wireless claims some successes. (Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.) Modest Laborites, including Messrs , Brace, Clynes, Crooks and Hodge, in a ' manifesto, protest against the resumption of hostilities between Poland and Russia, demanding that the differences he submitted to the League of Nations. ; The dockers' conference passed a resolution protesting against the export of acms to Poland. (Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.) WARSAW, May 18. A communique announced that a Bolshevik attack in the Kieff region was 3-epulsed. The Bolsheviks have begun an attack ■with five divisions between the Dune ■ and the Lepel rivers.
