HAWERA SCHOOL COMMITTEE

SPECIAL MEETING

A special meeting of the Hawecai School Committee was held last evening, Mr R. S. Sage presiding. The resignation of the caretaker, who, is leaving the district, was received^ and it was decided to invite applications for the position. An application from the GymnasticClub for the use of the school gymnasium was granted, on condition that proper care is exercised and the equipment preserved in good' order. A general discussion took place on the best' means for raising funds for school purposes, and it was decided' to--ask the headmaster and teachers to meet the committee at its ordinary meeting, on the 27th, when the matter will be further considered.
