WEDDING.
DES FORGI&y—MASON. A wedding of considerable locail interest tooK piace at tne V/aihoiic Church;, vypunaKe, on Wednesday last, when May Uaieen, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs HX \V. Mason, of Pinama, was married to' Mr Douglas Dcs Forges, of urenui, and formerly of Opunake. The oiiuo, \.no was attended by two bridesmaius and a flower girf., was attired in a gown of white charmeuse trimmed witn pearls and union, with court train imed with palest pink, and the customary v*Sl and orange blossom was worn, she carried a beautiful bou- I quet of gypsophylia, white Argentine pea, and asparagus fern. The chief oriuesinaid, Miss Dorothy Mason, siste r of the brine, wore lavender crepe Angr laise with hat to match, and carried a l*ouquet of white and lavender flowers, while Miss Myra Dcs Forges, sister o£ the bridegroom, wore pink silk with black and white hat,. &nd carried a bouquet of- pin kand white flowers. Little JoyG* Hickman, as flower girl, looked very dainty in white silk with hat to match, and carried a basket of lavender, pink, and white flowers. Mr Bert Looney attended the bridegroom as best man. After the ceremony, which was pemSormed by the Rev Father Stehaefer, the party motored to the residence of the bride's parents,, at Pihama, where th* wedding breakfast was . partaken of, and the usual toasts hon- | ored. In the afternoon, Mr and Mrs F. D. Dcs Forges 'left by motor for Wanganui, en -csute for Napier. The bride travelled in a mole gabardine costume with hat to match, whiler the gift of the bridegroom, a white .tango fur, was also woan.
