BY CABLE—PEESS ASSOCIATION—CQPYBIGHT
(Reuter.) (Received Jan. 7, 9.10 a.m.)
NEW xOKK, Jan. 5
The brewers received a severe blow by the decision of the Supreme Court
| that a beverage containing 2.75 per cent, alcohol is illegal. The Court upheld the action of Congress in declaring intoxicating and preventing the sale of beverages containing per cent, or more alcohol. The decision is regarded as a definition that will stand under constitutional prohibition, and appears' to mean that the United States will be a "bone-dry" nation.
