(BY TELTSGBAPH—TKTCSH ABSOLUTION.) CHRfSICHTJRCH, Jan. 6. At a meeting of the Canterbury Rugby Union the recommendations or the Australasian Conference were considered.
It was decided to support the .establishment of an international boaixl of control, and to agree to the appointment of Mr W. W. Hill, of Sydney, as the central secretary. The alterations to the laws of the 'game were not approved, this course Saeing taken in order that the matter might be held in abeyance pending the formation of an international board ef ■ control.- ■'
lt.;was decided to urg-e the New Zealand Union to invite South Africa to send a team to tour the Dominion this year.
