Strathdoie won the Mimosa Stakes in great style, the race being run in record time^ The Kilbroney colt Peroration was sixth. Celiigne established an Australasian mile record «pf 1.37 in the Linlithgow Stakes. Surveyor looked dangerous in the straight, and lost only in the last hundred yards. The last half-mile took 47^-see. Cetigne was fifth before the turn. The winner was loudly cheered. Cetignip has now won £25,033 'in stakes. Ethiopian scored his second win of the meeting in the Carnival Handicap. He came very fast from the .turn. Hyades, in the last half-mile of the Oaks, came through the field at the' turn and won brilliantly. The hoifee was well ridden by Frank Bullock. The results are: November Hurdles —Oopina \, Meon 2, Bright-' Plume 3. There were six starters. Won by two lengths. Time, Mimosa Stakes —Strathdoie 1, Fluent 2, Cossine Hatan 3. There were nine starters. Won by a length and a half, the third horse being two lengths away. Time, 1.14. Linlithgow. Stakes —Cetigne (A. Wood) 1, Surveyor (J. Killorn) 2, Greenstead (M. Connell) 3. Eight ran. Eusebius and Panacre led early, but Cetigne was in front when the half distance w ras covered. Won by a head, a neck- between the second and third. Time, 1.37. Carnival - Handicap—Ethiopian 1, Pleione 2, Royal Reserve 3. Eleven ran. Won by three-quarters of a length! Time] 2.0_. Oaks Stakes —Hyades 1, Yarraklool 2, Sue 3. There were seven starters. Yarraklool led to the distance. Won by half a length, four lengths separat-* ing the next two. Time, 2.37£. 1 Veteran Stakes —King of the Sea 1, Court Jester 2,- Seabound 3. Seven ran. Won by two lengths. Time, 2.34*.
