HAWERA SPORTS AND PASTIMES CLUB.
As advertised on cur front page, a general meeting of members and intending- members ot the above club will be held on Monday night in the Borough Chambers The advisability of resuscitating the old and popular Caledonian and. athletic sports generally, are the chief items of the business to be dealt with Hawera for many years before the '.var, annually held successful athletic sports, and it is to be hoped that thos© cori trolling the sport in the past, as well as all interested in any way, will attend Monday's meeting and lend assistance in restoring Hawera to its former position in the athletic world.
