Kakaramea dairy gale on Monday. 25th inst>, a fair number of springers came forward, which sold as follows: Springing heifers £8 to £17 10s dairy cows £16 15s to £18 15s.
At Opunake, on the same day, we had a good yarding of all classes of stock, and report a total clearance under the hammer at the following prices: Forward cows £10, store cows £7 5s to £7 19s, bulls £6 12s 6d to £7 15s. 2-year steers £6 to £7 16s, 2year empty heifers £7 5s yearling «teers £4 J4s, yearling heifers £3 16s to £4 2s. hoggets 31s 6d, springing heifers £12 to £16 ss, calved heifers £7 to £15, dairy cows £13 10s to £17 Ids.
At Manaia. on Tuesday, we held our usual fortnightly sale. Prices were, as follows: Store cow s £6 7s to £9'7s, boners £1 to £3, yearling heifers £3, yearling bulls £4 2s' to £5 4s, store pigs £3. small store pigs £2 2s to £2 3s, sows close to farrowing £9. At Palmer Road on Friday, 29th inst, we had a fair yarding, and report a good sale and total clearance, bidding being most spirited throughout. Light fat cows £11 16 S to £12 4s good forward cows £10 6s to £10 i9s others £9 12s to £9 19s, store cows £6 Is to £8 19s, good Shorthorn yearling heifers £5 ss. small yearlings (poor) £3 2s, springing heifers (low condition) £8 to
At Waverley, on the same day, we had a small yarding. Prices were as follows : Store cows £7 3s, springing heifers £7 to £11 15s.
