"WHITE WOLVES."
CHINESE SECRET SOCIETY
LONDON, Aug. 12. The correspondent of The Times in Paris reports that the murder of a Chinese coolie at Marseilles led to the discovery of a society called the "White Wolves."
This society has been systematically terrorising the Chinese labor battalions, compelling a contribution of half their wages to the funds of the society.
The chief of the society was arrested, and confessed to many 'murders.
