OPERA HOUSE—TO-NIGHT

"THE BETTER 'OLE."

A full house last evening again proved the drawing capacity of "The Better Ole. Bruce Bairnsfather has created a real entity in the character of "Old Bill," who has grown familiar through the many episodes in "'Fragments of France." Old Bill and his two pals, tfert and Alf. make a quaint trio, whose loves and labors, keen wit and cheerful philosophies are strung together into a connected story which is as captivating as it is amusing, and has the endearing charm of l)eing intensely human. "The Better 'Ole" i s one of the best pictures, seen here, and the excellent orchestral accompaniment enhances the pleasure of seeing this genuinely humorous picture. • ls the last opportunity of seeing "The .Better 'Ole" in Hawera

THE GRAND— TO-NIGHT

<JF , Vltagraph drama, entitled* 'Tangled Lives," deals with a most curious tangle of several people's lives. Harry Morey plays the star part, and is supported by Betty Blythe as his faithless wife, and Jean Paige as thegirl who genuinely loves him and with whom he at last finds happiness. The picture shows the gradual estrangement and the havoc caused by this, and the added difficulty of his friend's wife being in love with him. The story moves rapidly, and maintains keen interest throughout. The settings and dresses are excellent.
