GREYMOUTH, June 17. ,n _ ™ rge meeting of the West Coast Post and Telegraph Association tne following resolution was carried .unanimously :"That in the opinion of Tthis section the new classification of the service is very far from satisfactory. Anomalies have been disclosed by experienced officers showing that »t_ey are .receiving only £1 to £25 increment, while other officers are receiving £90 to £100. The main ground ef objection lies in the fact that the •Department has disregarded the cost _ living." The meeting expressed general dissatisfaction at the classification list, but wished to suggest that a general increase of £45 as a minimum be paid to all, and that the war bonus as promised by the Premier and the Post-master-General before their departure for England be paid forthwith in full.
