HAWERA MALE CHOIR
A final reminder is given of the Male Choir's concert, to be given in the Opera House this evening.. Everything points to a very successful performance. The Choir are to be congratulated on their endeavors to attain to large things, and we are confident that if they are only loyally supported by the public generally, they will achieve even greater things in the days that lie ahead. Apart from the excellent programme being submitted tonight which includes the fine artists, Miss Evelyn Young (contralto) and the Rev. N. H. Papakakura, who is making this one of his last appearances in Hawera, if not actually the last, before leaving for America, the fact that the choir's numbers have been considerably augmented since its last appearance, and the presence of an orchestra of twenty performers, the combination being a purely local affair, should have a claim upon the Hawera people. A limited number of Is tickets are being sold at the door for the back stalls.
