LONDON, May 21

While men were loading s shells into a wherry at Armstrong and Whitworth's works at Newcastle some lyddite exploded, and the wherry sank. The shell shop was nearly wrecked. Thirty-two persons were injured, but no one was killed, a wide area of buildings being damaged.
