KILLED ON A STEAMER.

(bt teleqbaph—*eess association.) WELLINGTON, May 29. A fatality occurred this afternoon^ when the aftermast t>f the steamer Baden Powell snapped - about nfteen feet from the deck«and, struck a man named Lepin, who was killed instantly. It appears that Lepin moved away in order to avoid the falling derrick, but in doing so stepped in the wrong direction. Lepin was about 26 years of age.
