A STRAIGHT ANSWER

MINISTER'S REPLY TO A CHARGE

(BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.)

WELLINGTON, May 29. Speaking at the Farmers' Union Conference with regard to the fixing of prices for produce, the Minister of Agriculture referred to a remark by a farmer at Invercagill that every member of the Government had his price in connection with the sale of produce. '"I am going to Invercargill next week," said Mr Mac Donald, "and I am prepared to tell that gentleman before the biggest audience that he can get that he is a, liar." The Minister spelt out the word. (Applauset.) The Minister added he did not mind criticism, but would always resent any attack on his honor."
