NEW YORK, May 16 (delayed)

flihe New York Times' Trepassey Bay correspondent s'bates that after an unsinccolssful initial attempt to leave for the Azores on May 15, three United States naval seaplanes started on the trans-Atlantic flight on the 16th a few minutes after 6 p.m. Mechanics worked all night to repair one plane which had been damaged in the flight from Halifax to Trepassey. The machines 'Wiei^hed 28,200_e each fully loaded. They mufat travel 1540 miles in order to reach Ponta-Delgadia in the Azores. It is expected .to complete the trip in 16 houT6.
