CAPETOWN, May 15. The keenest interest is taken in the approaching tour of the New Zealand Rugby team. Five out of ten centres where matches'can be played have already agreed. (Mackenzie fareweKed the team at a dinner. j | TARANAKI RUGBY UNION. At a meeting of the Management Committee of the Union, held in Stratford on Thursday, there were present: Messrs A. Lees (chairman), R. I F. Harkness, B. Fearon, Lyall, ,L. Beamish, and P. Skoglund (actingsecretary). Messrs McLeod, Garcia, and Buchanan apologised for absence. Mr Rj. Tyrer (Stratford) was appointed hon. secretary to the union. Rahotu applied for affiliation to the union as a separate club, and it was ■ decided that the Opunake dub be written tb regarding the proposal. •Mr Ryder, of the New Plymouth High School, was appointed to the management committee a«l representative of the secondary schools. ' (Messrs Fearon, Lyall and Ourteie were appointed a sub-committee to report on the question of school football in the southern end of the district. | The Eltham Club asked that pale blue be the colors allotted to them, and this was agreed" to.
