TWO MORE TRANSPORTS LEAVE BRITAIN.

WELLINGTON, April 23. Official advice has been received of the departure of two more steamers from the United Kingdom with New Zealand troops on board. The Pakeha (returning draft No. 251) left United Kingdom on April 12, and is due in Wellington or Port Chalmers on June 2. The draft comprise^ 520 troops, 5 civilians } 4 women and 2 children. This makes the number of New Zealand troops at present afloat and homeward bound 10,252. j

lONIC REACHES AUCKLAND

AUCKLAND, April 23. The transport lonic arrived to-night j at 9 o'clock. She will be examined by the health officer in the morning, and. if declared clean the troops will disembark about 9 o'clock. The southern men will-leave by train in the evening.
