EFFICIENCY LEAGUE

To-night-, in the Opera House, interesting and instructive addresses will be given by Dr Doris Gordon, of Stratford, who will deal with the subject from a medical point of view, and Messrs R. Masters, chairman of Tara- '< naki Education Board and L M. i Moss, 8.A., LL.B., of' Stratfordj who will deal with efficiency from an educational and business standpoint. All I are good speakers, and will have much to tell worth hearing. At 7.30 p.m. thejboys from the Eltham Salvation Army Home, who, under Adjutant Scotney, have made quite a name for themselves, will give a short programme of vocal, instrumental items, and a gymnastic display. This will be very attractive, and well worth hearing. To-morrow night, at the World's Theatre, Major Bishop, lately returned from the front, and a number of the leading business men and farmers of the district—Messrs Powdrell, Corrigan, ! Hunter, O. Hawken and F. Mills —will speak on the subject of national efficiency. The people of Hawera are in- ' vited to hear their own business men speak from the commercial and economic standpoint.
