WELLINGTON, March 19. The onus of organising the public in case of a recrudescence of influenza having been cast on the Hospital and Charitable Aid Boards, instead of upon the City and Borough Councils, a gen» era I meeting was held to-day to co-ordi-nate voluntary outside forces with those of the local hospital board. The chairman of the board explained that a new responsibility was thrust upon the board, and expressed the wish that group commanders would transfer their allegiance from the town hall to the hospital board. It was the experience of most other countries that the epidemic recurred, and it behoved them to be as reajdy as possible for a recurrence if it cam©; At the conclusion of the meeting group commanders pledged themselves to support the hospital board ih every way in case of another outbreak of influenza.
