A RECORD FLIGHT

- LONDON March 19. General Seely made a record flight from Folkstone to Paris in 74 minutes. He crossed the Channel in teii minutes. Hawker's Sopwith biplane for the Trans-Atlantic flight is fitted with a 375 horsepower engine, travelling economically at 100 miles an hour. A wireless operator accompanies the pilot. The fuselage is constructed in the shape of a lifeboat and supplied with, a scientific tuckbox, containing two days' food in tabloids. It is estimated that the journey will occupy nineteen hours.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Association.
