(Received Not. 22, 9.55 a.m.) V LONDON, Nov. 20. I the House of Commons Mr Boniaaliaw stated that Sir Douglas Haig had sent a wireless to German headquarters that information had reached the British Government that there was shocking lack of organisation in connectibn with the release of prisoners, who were returning on foot, miserably clothed and f oodless, and without escorts or guides, resulting in' lamentable suffer- - ings and mortality. The British Government.. Germany ■was informedj cannot tolerate a continuance of this cruel treatment and must insist en adequate arrangements by the German authorities, with whom full responsibility liies, otherwise Britain will be compelled to take this into account when revictualling Germany or eaitisfy- ' ing the requirements of the German population and Government. Sir Douglas Haig is ready to forward food, clothing and transport to prisoners' camps, and our Allies are being asked to co-operate. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Association.
