ELTHAM COUNTY MATTERS
(To the Editor.)
Sir,—ln your Eltihatn correspondent's notes on Monday last I noticed that the Eltham County Council :is reported to have purchased a section in Stanners street for th^ purpose of erecting offices thereon. ' :
;Ais it is generally; understood that the section in question-was purchased from Mr :A. C. Pease,, a., member and ex-chairman of the Coiincil, \ I write to enquire if it is the usual thing for a public body to have business dealings with its own members, as I also understand' that the ..Council has been for some t;.me past renting offices frbm. the same gentleman. ' '' ; If you could enlighten me on this* matteV, others as-well as myself, would be grateful.: .>• ": \', pV" For the: benefit of the curious, I might mention fhiat' I am ,not the fortunate possessor of any town sections which I could; offer;the Council.— I am, etc.,' . ,
