SOME GUN!

Thejstory cabled a few days ago about i a tank that chased a German general in as a pigmie to the following giant:—lt is from a lad who is always regarded as most truthful, and who is a direct descendant of George Washington (says an exchange). Evidently, however, he has been rubbing shoulders with some of the Yankees. This is what he says: "Our new gun will fire a shot from New York to Berlin. It would take a Ford car a day's run to go from one end of it to the other. It is nearly as long as you can remember. When it is fired, besides lobbing a 100-ton shell on Berlin, it takes rations and munitions up the line, and on its recoil brings back woundeu^and prisoners. When a shell explodes, it kills 50 per cent, of the population within 50 miles, and those it doesn't kill it handcuffs. It takes twelve horses to pull the lanyard, and these are shot after each round is fired, to keep the gun secret.'' ' Some gun, this.
