IRELAND

A BRITISH ROMAN CATHOLIC'S VIEWS.

■V CABL»—PRESS ASSOrUTi-iN —TOPVRIOB*. (Received May 14, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, May 13. Bishop Keating, Roman Catholic bishop of Northampton, reprobates any attempts to arouse an anti-Popery campaign. The Irish bishops, he says, nave taken a grave step, but it is exclusively their own, and they "have not consulted the Vatican or British bishops.' He hopes that the Irish prelates may yet find a way of diverting attention from domestic troubles, and may succeed in making available Ireland's re-^ sources to fight against the greatest menace to the world's liberties. —Aus.N.Z.
