ASHBURTON, May 9. The Ashburton County Racing Club's Autumn meeting was held to-day in fine weather. There was a good attendance. The sum of £14,272 was put through the totalisator. No autumn meeting was held last year. Results:—
Autumn Hurdles Handicap, 1£ miles —Naupata 1, Jeannot 2, St. Cletus 3. Also started:. Banian, Vascular, Cast Iron, Silver Shield, Golden Prince, Baritone. Won by a length Time, 2.43 2-5. v
Longbeach Hack Handicap, V furlongs —Kimbolton 1, Matty 2, Bephland 3. Also started: Missouri, John Reilly, Aye Ready, Spyglass. Vociferate. Won! by a head. Time, 1.28. Ashburton Cup, 1J miles—Majestikoff 1, Adjutant 2; Marsa 3. Alscf started: Kilboyne and Spangle. Won by a head. Time, 2.9 1-5. T#agmhor Plate (special weights); 5 furlongs —Braid 1, Moorable 2, Silver and Black 3. Also started: Terrafeldt, lan Hamilton, Sharp, Bontave, ViceRegal, Jingo. Won by four lengths. Time, 1.0 1-5. Fairfield Welter Handicap, 7 furlongs —Gay Lad 1, Brambletye 2, Helicon 3. Also started: Tremena, Achilledes, Hot Air, Art, Kaminohe. John Reilly.
Melrose Handicap Trot, 1 mile and 3 furlongs—Bidens 1, Colenut 2, Helta 3. Also started: Dillon Direct, Doreen Dillon, Eddie Mac. Won by. a neck. Time, 3.12 3-5.
Winchmore Hack Handicap, 6 furlongs—Silver and Black 1, Bomb 2", All Pink 3. Also started: Kimbolton, Fleetham. Nautical, Jack Symonds, Aye Ready. Won by two lengths Time, 1.14 1.5.
Grove Farm Handicap. 6 furlongs— Morthnm 1, Charley 2, Matty 3. Also ptarted: Tremena. Gamecock, Spectual, Donnata, Hot Air, Furling.
