The Government Meteorologist telegraphed to-day as follows: —The indications are for variable and moderate breezes, but moderate to strong northerly winds prevailing and freshening; there is a prospect of fair to cloudy weather with increasing haze and cloudiness; barometer falling after 20 hours; .sea moderate; tides poor.
