PRESS TO THE RESCUE
AT THE CALL OF TWO "REDS."
The following appeal is made by the Press Baby Committee in connection, with the competition to help the Red Jersey and the Red Cross Funds: Some persons may feel a weariness of giving to funds for the fighters overseas, but fortunately for such folk the State's defenders have still the will to win—tbe courage and strength to resist and punish the Hun. The fighting is more intense than ever, and therefore the need of funds for comforts is greater than ever. That is why the press has entered a baby (No. 2) for the big competition wbich is to help the Red Jersey and Rod Cross Funds.
Readers know that journalists have been always cheerfully willing to help any project for soldiers. Now they have a "turn" of their own for tho men of the war zones, and they aro hopeful that friends in town and country will help them to achieve a good result for "the two Reds."
Arrangements have been made for a satisfactory marketing of produce, and rifts of money, produce or other material will be' acknowledged gratefully by the honorary secretary. Mr-0 M. H. Chatfield. care Evening Post, WelUnpr-t-on. Sale date, May 3.
