HURLEYVILLE.

(From Our Own Correspondent.)

A most successful concert and dance was held in the Hurleyville Hall on Wednesday night, when a first-class programme was gone through, presided over by Mr R. G. Scown. Songs were well rendered by the following: Messrs E. Lawrence, P. McDonald, B. Chartens, J. Haworth, B. McDonald, R. Owen, Misses I. Taylor, E. "Locker, M. Hurley; pianoforte duet by the Misses Hurley; piano-violin duets by Miss J. and Mr A. Taylor and Messrs R. and S. McDonald; Irish jig hy D. and B. Bourke,- Scotch reel by Miss D. Bourke; Irish jag by Miss I. Taylor. All the items were much appreciated by the large number of people present. After the concert supper was handed round and the floor was cleared for dancing. Music was supplied by Miss H. Hurley (piano) and G. Baxter (cornet). Extras were also played by Miss M. Hurley and Reg. McDonald.
