WEDDING.
The marriage of Mr. Arthur Laurent, of Auckland, and Miss Gertrude Barton, of Hawera, was solemnised at St. Mary's Church, Hawera, on Tuesday, April 2, by the Rev. C. H, Grant Cowen: The bridegroom was supported by his brother, Mr Herbert Laurent, as-best man. The bridesmaid was Miss Iris Hamlin, of' Auckland, cousin of- the bride, end little Maisie and Iris Hitter, nieces of the bride, acted as flower girls. The bride, .who was given away by her brother-in-law, Mr Ritter, looked very nice in her gown of pale blue crepe de Chine and ninon, with the usual veil and orange blossoms. She earned a beautiful bouquet of flqwers and asparagus fern. The bridesmaid and flower girls were daintily dressed in white silk frocks and white tulle hats, and carried sheaves of flowers. Master George Smith kindly officiated at the organ. After the ceremony the relatives of the bride and bridegroom were entertained ■■ at the Islington Tea Rooms by the bride's sister, Mrs Hitter. The presents were numerous and handsome. Mr and Mrs Laurent left by the afternoon train for iWanganuil
