GOOD PRICES FOR POLLED ANGUS1 CATTLE, |

DUNEDIN, April 6. The dispersal sale of the Gladbrooko stud Polled Aberdeen-Angus cattle was concluded to-day, when 160 lots were offered which realised £6383, making a total of £14,177 for the two days, or an average for the 160 lots of 84 1-3 guineas. The highest price to-day was 510 guineas for the 18-months-old bull Troy, by Prince Burnish of Ballindalloch—Poppy, purchased by Mr Kinross White, of Napier. This is believed to >»c a world's record for an animal of this breed and an Australasian record, for any bovine. H. and V. White, of Leone, New South Wales, paid 465 guineas for the 17-months bull Togo, by the same sire, the dam being June. Kinross White bought Taffy, an ISmonths* hull, by British Mark. The other three young bulls realised 120, 165 and 180 guineas. The cows sold from 20 to 75 guineas; heifers rising two years from 31 to 180 guineas: calves, 12 to 50 guineas. Three imported bulls sold. Guild Bros., Temuka, bought British Mark for 420 guineas; J. ■• Stevenson, Mount Royal, bought Royal for 155 guineas, and N-; Cameron, a Tasmanian, secured! Prince Burnish of Ballindalloch for 100! guineas. Of the 160 lots sold 29 go to] Wellington and Hawke's Bay, 14 to Australia, and 17 remain in the South .Island.
