PECTED
, (Received March 30, 11.30 a.m.) March 29. It is reported from the frontier that every available builaing in Western Germany has been converted into hospitals. The number of wounded has l>een threefold what_was expectedl, and the town criers preceded by women drummers go along the streets ordeiing citizens to bring beds to the town halls to be. used for the Fatherland.
jTrainloads of wounded have been passing Liege uninterruptedly.since the 22nd. Wounded men are now sent to .improvised hospitals, as all those ready 'are full.*. .The-German newspapers are not allowed to mention the wounded, and citizens are not allowed to meet trains, but astounding figures of" the Germans' casualties are being mentioned, causing widespread' terror. : The Dutch frontier is closed to prevent possible indiscretion regarding the casualties^ ■ ' ,'■-■■ . , •
