BOWLING.

Owing to weather conditions New Plymouth bowlers did not visit Hawera yesterday, but the Te Hiwi rink, which arrived on Thursday evening, played morning and afternoon games—l 6 and 25 heads respectiy^dy. The heavy rain during the previous night prevented play commencing until after 11 o'colck. The result of the games was as follows, Te Hiwi being mentioned first: Morning—Holds-worth, Petorsen, Johnson, Shalloross 14; Keen, McLaren, Hodge, Grant 16. Afternoon—Holdsworth, Shalleross, Peterson, Johnson 23; Goodwin, Burrell, W. Robertson, Hollard 20. It was a close game throughout, the scores being 21-20 on the 24th head.
