The Austrian general Auffenburg, interviewed, said the attack against the British was only a link in a greater offensive, and a long time would elapse before the final result. Victory depends on the use of reserves, supplies of which on both sides are colossal. The mostviolent fighting would ultimately occur in the rear. Italy would also be importantly engaged.
