White; Porirua, C. Earwaker; Parparaumu,, AY. Alexander; Richmond, L. Brooks; Motueka, A. Nicholas. The following chairmen of synodical districts were elected: Auckland, Rev. Billhouse*; South Auckland, Rev. Dukes; Taranaki and AVanganui, Rev. Sinclair; Hawke's Bay and Manawatu, Rev. Richards; AVellington, Rev. Drake; Nelson, Rev. Rothwell; North Canterbury, Rev. A. C. Lawry; South Canterbury, Rev. Joughin; Otago, Rev. Griflith; Southland, Rev. Peters. The question of sending regular monthly allowances to chaplains was referred to the AVellington Military Committee. . The next conference opens at Christchurch on February 27. | It was decided to appoint a' chap-j lain te the returned soldi-era in each of the chief centres, and that ministers, wherever possible, should get into touch, with the returned men. The Board of Management Supernumerary Fund showed „a balance of £92,344 at the end of 1917. Last year the working expenses were 7 per cent, of the income. • DUNEDIN, March 8. The Methodist Conference concluded to-day. Domestic matters only were dealt with. Fifty_ or sixty visiting delegates left for their homes to-day.
