<Australian-N.Z. Cable Association.) WASHINGTON, Dec. 30. Eighty per cent of Guatemala City hae been demolished by earthquakes, which started on Christmas Day and continued for two days. Thousands are homeless.

NEW YORK, Dec. 81. A terrific earthquake on following the earlier shocks/complete.ly destroyed the city of Guatemala. One hundred and twenty-five thousand are..homeless, and many are dead. Deep fissures opened in the middle of Guatemala City. Theatres, asylums and gaols collapsed. -Many, of the inmates were killed or .injured. There was an indescribable panic. The final shock literally wiped out the city.
