When advertisements are transmitted by telephone, especially from various parts of the district outside Hawera, auch messages should be confirmed by letter. It is particularly desired that communications for publication shall not be addressed to members of the staff personally, as such a course is apt to cause delay. The Editor is at all times glad to receive correspondence giving news or expressing opinions on public matters. When "Correspondence" or Articles are signed with the writer's name or initials, or with a pseudonym, or are i marked "Communicated," the Star must not necessarily be held in agreement with the views therein expressed or with the mode of expression.
