LONDON, July 11. . Wireless Russian official: General ' Tchremisoff captured Halicz and advanced westwards. He reached the left 't>ank of. the Lomnica.

The Russians also advanced on the front from Bogoiodehan to Zolatvin, and took prisoners over 2000 and also :30 guns in the day's fighting. We continued pursuit in the direction of Dolina, and occupied Halicz at midday on Tuesday. Our advanced detachments crossed to the left bank of •the Dneister and reached the valley of the Lomnica, which was crossed, we •occupying the villages of'Bludniki and "Babin. We took prisoners over 10,000 in the fighting at Dolina. Since the -Bth we have captured large numbers of heavy guns, trench mortars, and jnachine guns. General Sir William Robertson congratulated General Brusiloff upon. the .•splendid results of the recent fighting. General Brusiloff replied: "All our efforts are directed to the development ■of the operations already begun, with :a view to a decisive victory against •the common enemy." ROME, July 11. Advices from Berne state that at the •outset of the Russian offensive Hin■denburg rushed across and took persona! charge of the situation in Ga"licia, and ordered reinforcements, -which have unceasingly poured through Southern Germany.
